Anne Marie Gibbons studied at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, Dublin and subsequently at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester supported by the Peter Moores Foundation. Opera engagements include the title roles in Ariodante and La Cenerentola for Opera Theatre Company Ireland, and, as a Company Principal with English National Opera, Dorabella Cosě fan tutte, Anna The Trojans at Carthage, Ascanius The Trojans, Ino Semele, Sister Mathilde The Dialogues of the Carmelites, Pitti-Sing The Mikado, Flora La Traviata, Bacchis La Belle Helčne, Nero Agrippina, Kasturbai Satyagraha, and Annio La Clemenza di Tito.
She has an extensive oratorio and concert repertoire including Handel's Messiah and Judas Maccabbeus; Mozart's Coronation Mass and Requiem; Vivaldi Gloria; Verdi Requiem; Beethoven's Mass in C and Ninth Symphony (with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra); Dvorák Mass in D; Bach Christmas Oratorio; Rossini Petite Messe Solonelle; and Mendelssohn Elijah and Bach Magnificat with Richard Hickox at the St Endellion Festival.
Recent engagements include Peter Eötvös's As I Crossed the Bridge of Dreams for Almeida Opera, Anna Maria Stuarda for Chelsea Opera Group, Second Lady The Magic Flute for Welsh National Opera, Flora La Traviata for Longborough Festival Opera (with Gianluca Marciano), Rosmira Partenope for Les Azuriales Festival, France. Highlights this season and beyond include the title roles in Ariodante and Teseo for English Touring Opera, Schumann Das Paradies und die Peri with the RTE Orchestra, Messiah with the Oxford Philomusica, and Dorabella Cosě fan tutte for Welsh National Opera.
